x² -4 = 0

A gauche on trouve le format a² - b² avec a = x et b = 2

or a² - b² = (a-b)(a+b) Donc x² - 4 = (x-2)(x+2)

Finalement

(x-2)(x+2)=0

b. L'équation a deux solutions possible

Soit x-2 = 0

et donc x = 2

Soit x+2 = 0

et donc x=-2

c. Les solutions de x² = 4 sont S= {2;-2 }

d. x² = 14

x² - 14 = 14 - 14

x² -14 = 0

(x - √14) (x+√14)=0

D'où S = {√14; - √14}
